Update: 2 hrs later

It was a little sketchy when I had to prepay her for my lessons for the whole month and when she told me to leave the "To" line on my check blank for her to fill out and when she asked me if it would be okay if I give her cash next month, but I'm going to give her the benefit of the doubt because it was one of the funnest (funnest?? I've been out of school for a while, clearly) 1.5 hours I've had lately. It's so awesome to be learning stuff and letting my inner nerd get down with its bad self.

So hopefully my money won't go to Sun Myung Moon or whatever, and by the end of the year I will be a Putonghua master. Hen hao!

reading this post got me thinking of that movie 'blank check' where that kid commits borderline fraud after some rich guy hits his bike & gives him a blank check. then the kid writes it for a million dollars to himself and has all sorts of fun hanging out with karen duffy (who i had a super crush on after this movie). i think sinbad was in that movie too as a limo driver...anyone else remember that? i'm not sure how it ends but if sinbad actually was in this movie, it was probably a hilarious ending.

anyhow, i couldn't concentrate on the rest of the post after seeing the words "blank" & "check" right next to each other...haha, that was a hen hao movie!

(did i use that correctly?)
