I discovered a new favorite item from Trader Joe's today: the French Apple Tart. Eli and I had tomato & basil bruschetta on whole grain bread for dinner, so we felt totally justified in indulging in a little dessert.
Some other Sheena/Eli-approved items:
- Coconut Curry Chicken Stix
- Chicken & Cheese Tamales (at $1.99 for two, this, my friends, is how you eat economically)
- Rice Pudding (I'm trying not to eat this anymore, but yeah, it's good)
- Coconut Shrimp (ditto)
- Honey Sesame Sticks
- Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
- Veggie Chips
- Prig Khing Green Beans
- Frozen Black Cherries
What are your Trader Joe's favorites? I'm always down to try some new stuff.

I agree with your list for the most part, but there's one GLARING item missing: the Tarte D'Alsace pizza, a French style flat bread with ham, caramelized onion, and gruyere cheese. It is soooo damn good (and in fact I ate one for dinner tonight). The other item I recently discovered is their BBQ chicken salads. Make sure and get the freshest one (reach into the back of the pile). That plus a tamale and you've got yourself the perfect Sunday lunch.
Oh yeah! That is one tasty pie. My only complaint is that it made my kitchen smell like feet for a while (that's some serious gruyere) but as someone whose Ling Ling potsticker lunch allegedly smelled like "booty" (thanks to Drs. Sharjeel and Charles for that diagnosis), I suppose I'm not one to complain.
oo their yogurt and dill pappadums. and their peanut butter granola bars. and fat free greek yogurt, with honey (which i guess isn't TJ's necessarily).
wait keyvan i totally had that tarte d'alsace before. it was nasty! :)
trader joe's > whole foods

Pappadums? Stop making up food names Serena.
